When Joe Odenbaugh was diagnosed with ALS—also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease—his doctor knew time was of the essence. Fortunately, she also knew about the Ryan Jones Memorial Fund at the Shiawassee Community Foundation. Joe applied to this fund and received $2,900 in grants to:
· Build a wheelchair ramp going up to his house
· Repair a cracked, uneven driveway
· Widen the doorway between the garage and the house
