Please join us in welcoming two new members to our board of directors: Dr. Julie Creighton and Marlene Webster.
Julie is an Owosso native who received a degree in Bio Medical Science from GVSU and a medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Sparrow Hospital and is now a pediatrician at Memorial Hospital in Owosso. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and friends, traveling, and spending time at her cabin up north.
Marlene Webster is the pastor of Owosso City Church of the Nazarene as well as the founder and executive director of Shiawassee Hope. Marlene also serves on the OPS Board of Education, Owosso Area Ministerial Association, and the Health and Human Services Council. In 2016, she won the Chamber of Commerce Athena Award. Marlene and her husband Ted have lived in Owosso for 23 years, and they have two adult children, Allen and Abby.
Along with these additions to the board, SCF bids farewell to Roger Zick, who recently resigned his position after serving on the board of directors for almost eight years. Roger is a retired educator from Durand Area Schools who volunteers his time with several organizations in our community. Not only has he served as a member of the board, he also served on the Foundation’s Scholarship Selection Committee for many years. The Foundation appreciates his involvement and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
